西安交通大学基础医学实验教学中心的前身为西安医科大学基础医学教学实验室，2002年经过整合重组正式成立，并于2007年获评陕西省实验教学示范中心。为顺应现代医学教育发展需求，2016年中心完成实验室物理空间的整合与优化，经过持续建设与发展，2019年获评陕西省虚拟仿真实验教学中心。
实验教学中心现有教职工28人，其中教授2人，高级实验师6人，实验师及助理实验师20人。近年来承担省级和校级教学改革项目40余项，发表实验教学研究论文70余篇，获得国家级和省部级教学成果奖7项。
实验教学中心现有3600平方米教学空间，配备各类实验室100余间，仪器设备2100余台。中心下设形态学（I、II）、机能学、生化分子细胞遗传、病原生物学与免疫学等多个实体实验教学平台，并建有AI+虚拟仿真实验教学平台和大学生创新创业基地。主要承担临床医学、基础医学、口腔医学、预防医学等十个专业本科生和留学生的基础医学实验教学工作，同时负责各类大学生创新训练项目及竞赛的指导工作。近年来，指导学生完成国家级、省级及校级大学生创新计划项目50余项，并在“互联网+”、“挑战杯”、中国国际大学生创新大赛、全国大学生医学创新大赛暨“一带一路”国际竞赛等赛事中荣获金奖、银奖多项，为培养创新型医学人才提供了有力支撑。
实验教学中心已发展成为西部地区乃至全国医学人才培养的重要基地。中心长期开展教师实验技能培训与竞赛活动，定期举办医学科普宣传，为培养高素质医学人才奠定了坚实的基础。未来，中心将继续坚持立德树人根本任务，围绕学科建设目标，为培养卓越医学人才、推动医学教育事业高质量发展贡献智慧和力量。
Introduction of the Basic Medical Experimental Teaching Center
The Basic Medical Experimental Teaching Center of Xi’an Jiaotong University was originally the Basic Medical Teaching Laboratory of Xi'an Medical University. It was officially established after integration and restructuring in 2002 and was awarded as Shaanxi Provincial Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center in 2007. To meet the demands of modern medical education development, the center completed the integration and optimization of its laboratory physical space in 2016. After continuous construction and development, it was awarded as Shaanxi Provincial Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center in 2019.
The Experimental Teaching Center currently has 28 staff members, including 2 professors, 6 senior experimentalists, and 20 experimentalists and assistant experimentalists. In recent years, it has undertaken over 40 provincial and university-level teaching reform projects, published more than 70 research papers on experimental teaching, and won 7 national and provincial-level teaching achievement awards.
The Experimental Teaching Center currently has 3,600 m2 of teaching space, equipped with over 100 laboratories and more than 2,100 sets of instruments and equipment. The center is divided into multiple physical experimental teaching platforms, including Morphology (I, II), Functional Science, Biochemistry, Molecular Cell Genetics, Pathogenic Biology and Immunology, and has established an AI + Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Platform and a College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base. It mainly undertakes the basic medical experimental teaching for ten majors such as clinical medicine, basic medicine, stomatology, and preventive medicine for undergraduate students and international students. At the same time, it is responsible for guiding various college students' innovation training projects and competitive events. In recent years, it has guided college students to complete over 50 national, provincial and university-level college students' innovation projects, and to win multiple gold and silver awards in competitions such as “Internet+”, “Challenge Cup”, the China International College Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the National College Students Medical Innovation Competition and China 'Belt and Road' International Undergraduate Medical Innovation Competition. This has provided strong support for cultivating innovative medical talents.
The Experimental Teaching Center has evolved into an pivotal base for cultivating medical talents in the western region and across the nation. The center has consistently engaged in experimental skills training and competition activities for faculty members, and regularly holds medical science popularization publicity, laying a solid foundation for cultivating high-quality medical talents. In the future, the center will continue to adhere to the fundamental task of fostering virtue and nurturing talent, focus on the goals of discipline construction, and contribute wisdom and strength to cultivating outstanding medical talents and promoting the high-quality development of medical education.
